Macey Dedication Ceremony

Last month, Habitat for Humanity Toronto presented 6 low-income families with keys to their new homes at a dedication ceremony in the Victoria Park and Danforth neighbourhood. Hundreds gathered on June 17th to witness the fortunes change for some very deserving people, who can now the begin a new chapter in their lives. “Having the event on Father’s Day was very fitting, highlighting the continued importance of moving families out of poverty housing and into safe, affordable homes,” said Neil Hetherington, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Toronto. “These 6 homes will provide a solid foundation on which these families will grow and flourish.” President and CEO of Manulife Financial Global Investment Management, J-F Courville and his son Julien hosted the event. Also present, to welcome the families into their homes, were City Councillor Michelle Berardinetti, MPP Lorenzo Berardinetti, MP Dan Harris and MP Matthew Kellway.
