The Jammer Classic Lacrosse Tournament
On Easter weekend the 4th Annual “Jammer Classic” Field Lacrosse Tournament was hosted at Cherry Beach Sports Fields, where 40 teams featuring over 1000 boys and girls participated for top honours. The annual tournament celebrates the life of Jamieson (Jammer) Kuhlmann, a talented Toronto Beaches and Hill Academy midget lacrosse player who lost his life in May 2008 playing the sport he loved. The weekend of action-packed lacrosse witnessed some of the best lacrosse players from across Southern Ontario play for the U-17 tournament championships. In addition, U-13 and U-11 teams also played in a two game mini tournament.
