Throwing down at Groove and Graffiti
Groove and Graffiti
Students from across the GTA set up shop with their cans of spray paint behind Danforth Tech, where the group of aspiring artists participated in Groove and Graffiti workshops at Danforth Collegiate and Technical Institute on May 19 and 20.
Roughly 40 students threw their designs down on blank white canvasses over the two-day workshop. With the help from prominent Toronto graffiti artists, students were able to showcase their work and learn from some of the best about style and aerosol art.
Sponsored by the Toronto Jazz Festival; a few of the artists from the workshops will be invited to the jazz festival main stage at Nathan Phillips Square.
