16th Annual Beaches Sno-Pitch Tournament
The 16th Annual Beaches Sno-Pitch Tournament – minus the snow – welcomed sunshine along with eight baseball teams to the mucky and muddy diamonds at Glen Ames School.
Players from past tournaments welcomed the addition of warmer weather because last year’s tournament felt as though it was played in the artic, parkas and all. However, the slo-pitch tournament was invaded by a mudslide along the first baseline, but players seemed to be just fine with that, sliding headfirst in to first on more than one occasion.
Players definitely were having a great time out on the field, but more importantly they were helping raise funds as well for the Children’s Wish Foundation; the tournament has raised over $50,000 over the past 15 years.
