Cook-Off at Captain Jack's

On March 7, Captain Jack’s welcomed cooks that could handle the heat back into their kitchen for their annual cook-off competition. This year’s cook-off challenged competitors to create the best chilli dish imaginable, one, which would stimulate the taste buds of all three judges.

Only 12 competitors were up to the task to blow away the judges with spices, flavour and presentation; attempting to be the next winner to hold the prized cook-off trophy. A closely marked tasting saw Arturo come out victorious, defeating the rest of the wannabe champs with his highly acclaimed dish.

The cook-off also helped raise money for breast cancer through donations and chilli-ticket sales at the event.
