Walking with the torch along Queen St.
Avalon School's Olympic Family Night
Did you see the Olympic torch along Queen St. in January? The students of Avalon Children's Montessori School carried the torch a couple of blocks. The culmination of the run was 140 Wineva where the torch and students entered the school to meet Olympian Christine Parris Washington (member of the 1996 Olympic Softball Team). The students enjoyed hot chocolate and an inspiration message from Christine. The night ended with very passionate singing of our national anthem. Go Canada!
