Friends bundle up for the outdoor trek
New Year's Day Hair of the Dog Fun Run and Walk
The 30th annual New Year's Day "Hair of the Dog" Fun Run and Walk took place at the Balmy Beach Club on January 1st. Once again runners and walkers braved the chilly temperatures to kick the new year off in style. The 9k route started at the club, followed the Eastern Beaches Boardwalk/ Martin Goodman Trail with the half-way point being the foot of Leslie Street.
To carry out tradition some folks even took a dip in the lake after their run/ walk. No doubt that was refreshing! All the money raised from the event goes to the paddling section of the Balmy Beach Club.
