Learning how to Read with uKloo
Kids are having loads of fun learning to read with uKloo (pronounced you-clue) Early Reader Treasure Hunt Game. And, it all began in the Toronto Beaches neighborhood!
uKloo was invented by Beach mom, Doreen Dotto when challenged by her young son, who would hide when it was time to practice reading. She solved the problem creatively, turned the tables and “hid the reading.” The result is a new game that gets kids laughing and learning with no idea that what they are doing is educational. And by the way - the reluctant reader - is now in university, majoring in English Literature!
On the market for only five months, uKloo has received awards from Dr. Toy, Play on Words and The Noise on Toys! uKloo is available in 27 stores in 5 provinces. And, keep your eyes open-you might just see some uKloo play in CBC’s the Dragon’s Den this fall season!
