2008 May > Rogers Connects Food and Students Students from RH King Academy rose to Rogers' challenge of collecting used wireless devices over a five week period, in efforts to help the environment and support Daily Food Break.
The contest engaged high school students in the city to help reduce e-waste and support their local food bank. In total, over 1,200 devices were collected across the Greater Toronto Area.
The collected devices will all be donated to the award-winning Phones-for-Food program.
Since the students at RH King Academy collected the most devises, Rogers awarded $3,000 to the school’s graduating class’s commencement ceremonies.
RH King Academy is located 3800 St. Clair Avenue East.
