2008 May > Yogathon at Applegrove
With a deep breath and fluid motion, the participants of the Yogathon at the Applegrove Community complex generated energy with spiritual significance one Saturday in April. The converted church resonated with the music of Jacob King as a focused group of individuals in the main hall followed a central instructor through a series of 12 postures call The 108 Sun Salutations.
This ancient practice from India honours the change of the seasons in terms of sun, earth and energy. The proceeds from this event support Applegrove services such as pre- and post-natal nutrition, early learning activities, and drop-ins.
